Coffeeshop Dolphins has been a fixture near Leidseplein since 1985, tucked into Kerkstraat just off the lively Leidsestraat. Over 40 years in, it remains one of Amsterdam's most distinctive coffeeshops, not just for its cannabis menu, but for its floor-to-ceiling underwater theme spanning two full floors. Upstairs holds the counter along with a small seating area, pool table, and table football. Downstairs, a spacious lounge with large padded booths, flat-screen TVs, and street-level windows creates a relaxed hangout, split into a tobacco-free "pure" area and a separate smokers' area for those who prefer tobacco.
